Course Description: This popular course will be an intermediate course that will review grammar structures in a conversational setting to build confidence in the language for participants who have had Spanish previously. The lessons, both from the text and in-class conversations, will center on topics such as family, shopping, travel, recreational activities, hobbies, and other student interests.
Instructor: Dr. Berta Arias had been teaching for several years for Amelia Lifelong learning, and her students always rate her classes with high praise! She is Professor Emerita in World Languages and International Education, as well as a local published author. Dr. Arias enjoys sharing her love of Spanish and the Hispanic/Latino culture.
Location: Baker Hall at the Amelia Island Museum of History, 233 S. 3rd Street, Fernandina Beach.
Dates and Time: 10 sessions (two per week) for five weeks. Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 31 through March 2, 9:30 to 11:30.
