Description

Course Description: This course will study important English poems and poets from the late 18th Century through the mid-20th Century in a context that is both literary and historical, covering romantic, Victorian, and modern English Poetry. Students do not need to have taken Prof. Wesley’s fall 2021 poetry class. It is expected that all participants be vaccinated and that masks and social distancing be observed.

Instructor: Prof. Norman Wesley’s career spans fifty years of teaching English, American, and world literature as well as grammar and linguistics at American colleges and universities and briefly at Cambridge University in England. He is now a retired [emeritus] professor from The State University of New York and lives in Fernandina Beach.

Schedule: 8 sessions. Thursday, Feb. 17 to April 7, 11:30-1:00.

Location: Upstairs conference room at Scott & Sons Jewelry, 9900 Amelia Island Parkway, Fernandina Beach. Please park away from the front door to the store.
