Glimpses of Times Past and Times to Come – an introduction to a longer course
The objective of this short course is to have some intellectual fun glimpsing parts of the past and possible futures. We will explore several essential issues: Where did we come from; where are we going? Through a glass darkly: a complex, fast-changing, and variable-speed future. There is no crystal ball. What will determine the future? Each session will include briefings and roundtable discussions.
Course Guide: Richard Scribner has a BS, MS, and PhD (Physics). He has had a long career in government and education and is the author of numerous books and articles on science and public policy. Fathoming what the future might hold is a hobby.
Location: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Room 201. Masks and social distancing will be observed.
Day and Time: Tuesdays, October 27- November 17, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
