The Landmark 2022 Supreme Court Term
Course Description: This course will consider the landmark decisions of the Supreme Court in 2022. Classes will discuss the recent Supreme Court holdings regarding abortion/right to privacy, first amendment freedoms of speech and religion, bearing of arms, and climate change/the regulatory power of the state. This class is designed to discuss constitutional and judicial concepts and not to debate partisan politics. It is recommended that participants have either completed the basic Constitution class described above or have at least limited prior knowledge of the subject.
Instructor: Susan Raab is a 1981 graduate of the University of Florida School of Law. She spent the majority of her legal career as a Federal Prosecutor and Appellate Attorney in U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Tampa and Jacksonville, FL.
Schedule: Three sessions. Monday, October 17 to October 31, 1:00-3:00.
